12 NOON – BENEFITS OF A PLANT-BASED DIET
Debora Tallio, M.D. and Danita Hines, MS, RDN will share information about the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet and show how you can improve your health, reduce animal suffering, and help
save our planet.
1:30PM – HEALTHY COOKING DEMO
Katya Trent, a certified Health Coach and vegan chef, will demonstrate a simple, practical, and healthy way to prepare a delicious whole foods plant-based meal for you and your family. Meal samples will be offered.
2:00PM – MEDITATION BY ART OF LIVING
Mr. Krishnaswamy is an instructor with the Art of Living Foundation, an international, non-profit humanitarian & service organization. He will lead some breathing exercise followed by a short guided meditation
3PM – PRESENTATION: WHY VEGAN FARMING?
Did you know that virtually all plant-based foods are grown with blood or bone meal, fish emulsion, or harmful
herbicides and pesticides? Heather Patrick, Co-Founder of Wild Earth Farm and Sanctuary, will share how we
can advocate for vegan farming methods that are healthier for us and for the planet!
3:30PM – YOGA WITH JOSHUA
As a graduate of Amanda McMaine’s 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program as well as Matthew Higdon’s
200 hour Subtle Power Yoga Teacher Training program, Joshua has shared his passion for the art and science
of yoga with numerous yoga studios in Lexington, KY and throughout Central Kentucky.
Marian Guica, an author of an inspiring book for children was at the kids’ area.
